Set it up in two steps
1. Get a key. In Selah, open Settings, find API Access and generate a key. It starts with sk_selah_ and is shown once, so copy it straight away. Each key acts as the person who made it.
2. Add the server. The endpoint is https://www.selah.fyi/api/mcp, Streamable HTTP, with the key as a Bearer token. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http selah https://www.selah.fyi/api/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer sk_selah_YOUR_KEY"
Any other client that supports remote MCP servers with custom headers takes the same details in its config file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"selah": {
"url": "https://www.selah.fyi/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer sk_selah_YOUR_KEY"
}
}
}
}No MCP client? Paste skills.md into the agent’s instructions, or call the same functions as plain REST endpoints from the API reference.
The seven tools
| Tool | What it does | AI message |
|---|---|---|
| selah_get_quote | Prices a brand deal from the brand's email or DM, pasted as it arrived. Returns the line items, the total in the creator's currency and reply bullets ready to paste. Pass save=true to save the deal and get its deal_id back. | Uses one |
| selah_generate_email | Writes the reply email around a quote’s bullets, which are kept word for word. Friendly or professional tone; handles a first reply or a reply to the brand’s counter. | Uses one |
| selah_analyze_counter_offer | Reads the brand’s reply to a quote she sent and pulls out the amount they are offering, then moves the deal to negotiation. If they simply accepted her number, it says so and suggests the closing amount. | Uses one |
| selah_list_deals | Lists her deals, filtered by status: draft, sent, negotiation, accepted or rejected. | Free |
| selah_get_deal | Returns one deal in full by its id. | Free |
| selah_update_deal_status | Moves a deal along: sent (with the amount she sent), negotiation, accepted (with the closing amount) or rejected. | Free |
| selah_get_quota | Reports how many AI messages are left in the current period, so an agent can check before it spends one. | Free |
What to ask
- A brand just emailed me about a Reel and two Stories with 90 days of paid usage. What should I charge? [paste the email]
- Price this brand message and save it as a draft, then write the reply email.
- The brand replied to my quote. What are they offering now? [paste the reply]
- Which of my deals are still waiting on a reply, and how much is each worth?
- Mark my deal with that skincare brand as accepted at $3,800.
Limits and what gets saved
- An agent spends the same AI messages as the creator does in the app: 10 a week on Free, 100 a day on Pro. There is no separate API allowance.
- A quote is not saved unless the agent asks for it (save=true), so exploratory pricing doesn’t clutter her dashboard. A free account still stops at its saved-deal limit.
- Prices come from Selah’s engine, not from the model’s arithmetic. How they are set is on the methodology page.
- Revoke a key in Settings and it stops working immediately.
