# Selah pricing reference

Generated from Selah’s pricing engine on every deploy. Every figure below is what a live Selah quote uses.
Human-readable version with sources and reasoning: /methodology.

## Rules for writers (Scribe, flash drafts, hand edits)

1. **Never type a Selah figure.** Any number that states what Selah charges or recommends (a rate, a usage-rights fee, an exclusivity fee, a rush fee, a buyout, a percentage) must be a placeholder from the table below. The site fills it in from the engine when it builds, so posts can’t drift from the product.
2. **Worked examples are `selah-quote` blocks**, not hand-written tables. The block is priced by the same code as a live quote and renders as a table.
3. **Market ranges are not Selah figures.** When quoting what published guides say, use the ranges and sources in “Published market ranges” and attribute them. Selah prices at the top of those ranges.
4. A placeholder with a typo fails the site build. Use only the forms below.

## Placeholder syntax

| Placeholder | Meaning | Renders today |
|:---|:---|---:|
| `{{rate:instagram_reel:25000}}` | Headline rate for a deliverable at an audience size (deliverable keys below) | $850 |
| `{{rate-range:instagram_reel:25000}}` | Low–high range for the same (also `rate-low`, `rate-high`) | $650–$1,100 |
| `{{usage:paid:3:1500}}` | Usage-rights fee: type, months, content fee (types: organic, paid, whitelisting, ooh) | $800 |
| `{{usage-pct:paid}}` | Monthly usage percentage for a type | 40% |
| `{{usage-pct:paid:3}}` | Usage fee for a term, as % of the content fee | 53% |
| `{{exclusivity:1:2000}}` | Exclusivity fee: months, content fee | $600 |
| `{{exclusivity-pct}}` | Exclusivity for 30 days, % of the content fee (add `:3` for a term) | 30% |
| `{{rush:2000}}` | Rush fee on a content fee | $1,000 |
| `{{rush-pct}}` | Rush, % of the content fee | 50% |
| `{{buyout:paid:2000}}` | Perpetual buyout: type, content fee | $6,000 |
| `{{buyout-pct:paid}}` | Perpetual buyout, % of the content fee | 300% |
| `{{term-multiplier:3}}` | Duration multiplier for a term in months | 1.33× |
| `{{cross-post-pct}}` | Mirrored cross-post, % of that platform’s rate | 50% |
| `{{collab-pct}}` | Collab post on the brand’s account, % of the content fee | 20% |
| `{{link-in-bio-pct}}` | Link in bio, % of the rate per month | 10–15% |

Money placeholders take an optional currency last, e.g. `{{usage:paid:3:1500:GBP}}` renders in pounds.

### Worked examples: `selah-quote` blocks

Write one setting per line inside a fenced block whose language is `selah-quote`:

~~~
```selah-quote
Instagram Reel: 400
TikTok Video: 350
usage: paid 3
exclusivity: 1
link in bio: 1
```
~~~

Settings: `Deliverable: full rate` (prefix `2× ` for quantity; add `(cross-post)` to the label for a mirrored piece), `usage: <type> <months>` or `usage: <type> perpetual`, `second usage: <type> <months>`, `exclusivity: <months>`, `rush`, `link in bio: <months>`, `collab post`, `currency: GBP`. That block renders as:

| Line item | Amount |
|:---|---:|
| 1× Instagram Reel | $400 |
| 1× TikTok Video | $350 |
| 1-month exclusivity | $200 |
| 3-month paid usage rights | $400 |
| 1-month bio link placement | $60 |
| **Total** | **$1,410** |

## How Selah prices add-ons

### Usage rights

Fee = (sum of the covered pieces’ rates × monthly %) × term multiplier, rounded to the nearest 100, never below 100. No term named: 3 months. Terms between brackets blend. Stories aren’t covered unless the brand says so. A mirrored cross-post is licensed at its platform’s full rate.

| Usage right | Per month | 1 mo | 2 mo | 3 mo | 6 mo | 12 mo |
|:---|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| Organic (reposts, website, email) | 15% | 15% | 17% | 20% | 26% | 34% |
| Paid usage (ads from the brand’s account) | 40% | 40% | 47% | 53% | 70% | 90% |
| Whitelisting / ad code / Spark Code (ads from her account) | 75% | 75% | 87% | 100% | 131% | 169% |
| Out-of-home (billboards, print, TV) | 50% | 50% | 58% | 67% | 88% | 113% |

Term multipliers: 1 mo 1×, 3 mo 1.33×, 6 mo 1.75×, 12 mo 2.25×.

Two usage rights on one deal: the more valuable one is charged first (whitelisting > out-of-home > paid > organic); the second is charged only on pieces the first doesn’t already cover for at least as long.

### Perpetual rights

Declined, not sold. The quote’s total is priced on a 12-month licence and the reply says she doesn’t license content in perpetuity. For a brand that insists, the reply names a buyout of 7.5× the monthly rate, in place of the 12-month fee: organic 113%, paid 300%, whitelisting 563%, ooh 375% of the content fee. Never tell a creator to accept perpetual rights.

### Everything else

| Add-on | Selah |
|:---|---:|
| Exclusivity | 30% of the content fee for 30 days; 1 mo 30%, 2 mo 35%, 3 mo 40%, 6 mo 53%, 12 mo 68% |
| Rush (delivery inside a week) | +50% of the content fee |
| Mirrored cross-post | 50% of that platform’s rate |
| Collab post on the brand’s account | 20% of the content fee |
| Link in bio | 10–15% of the rate, per month |
| Revision rounds included | 2 |
