Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Brandon Bedford, doing business as Selah ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use Selah (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account data

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address via Supabase Authentication.

Profile data

To generate rate quotes, we collect the information you provide in your creator profile: follower counts by platform, audience region and niche, base rates per deliverable type, preferred currency, global rate multiplier, and usage rights preferences. This data is stored in your account and used solely to provide the Service.

Usage data

We collect records of your activity within the Service, including AI quote requests, deal history, and deliverable configurations. This is used to power your dashboard and enforce plan limits.

Brand messages

When you paste a brand message into Selah for pricing analysis, that text is sent to Anthropic's API for AI processing. When the quote is saved as a deal, the message is stored with that deal so Selah can use it as context when you edit the deal, negotiate, or draft a reply. It is visible only to you and is deleted along with your account. See Section 4 for more on Anthropic.

Optional: rate benchmarks and brand discovery

Two choices are offered at the end of signup and in Settings. Both are off unless you turn them on, neither depends on the other, and you can turn either off at any time. We record when you turned each one on.

Anonymous rate benchmarks. If you opt in, your rates, deal amounts and outcomes, deliverables, audience size range, niche and region may be combined with other creators' to publish rate benchmarks. Benchmarks show only combined figures from groups of several creators. They never show your name, handles, email, brand names, or the text of any brand message. If you turn this off, your data is left out of any benchmark calculated after that.

Brand discovery waitlist. If you opt in, we may email you when brands can discover creators through Selah. This is a waitlist only: nothing about you is shown to brands, and being listed will be a separate choice you make when that feature exists.

Emails from us

Besides the emails you need to sign in and reset a password, we may send a creator who started setting up Selah a single reminder to finish, from Brandon at [email protected]. It is sent once, about a day after her rates were saved, only if setup is still unfinished. Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and replying to it reaches Brandon. If you unsubscribe, or the email is reported as spam or bounces, we stop sending you these. We record that the email was sent and whether it was delivered, bounced, reported or unsubscribed from, so we can see whether it helps and stop it if it causes trouble.

Using Selah through an AI assistant

Selah's rate lookup can be called by an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, with no account. It only does arithmetic on Selah's published pricing: it uses no AI model, reads no creator data, and saves nothing you type. We record that a call happened, which of the two lookups it was and whether it worked. We do not record what was asked, what was answered, or who asked: the request carries no account, and your IP address is held in server memory for about a minute to limit abuse and is not stored by Selah (our hosting provider keeps standard request logs). What you tell the assistant is handled by the assistant's provider under its own privacy policy, not ours.

Using the free calculators

The rate, usage rights and offer calculators run in your browser and use no AI model. What you type into them is not sent to us or saved. The offer checker records two anonymous usage events: that a check was run (with the verdict, the offer as a rounded share of Selah's rate and the type of deliverable) and that the reply was copied. They carry no amount, no audience size, no account and nothing that identifies you. A share link holds your inputs in its web address, so anyone you send it to can see them.

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use the marketing site, including pages visited, session duration, and general location data. Google Analytics may use cookies. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on.

We also set a first-party cookie, for up to 30 days, that records which link or website brought you to Selah (the campaign tags on the link and the referring site's name, never the full address). If you create an account, we keep that with your signup so we can tell which channels are worth continuing. It is not shared with anyone.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the Service; generate AI-powered pricing quotes based on your profile; enforce plan limits and process subscription management; communicate with you about your account or the Service; and improve the Service over time based on aggregate usage patterns. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Supabase

We use Supabase for database storage and authentication. Your account data and profile information are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy applies to their handling of this data.

Brevo

Email we send you, such as sign-in confirmations, password resets and the setup reminder above, goes through Brevo. Brevo sees your email address, the message, and what happened to it (delivered, bounced, reported). Brevo's privacy policy applies to their handling of this data.

Anthropic

Brand messages you submit for pricing analysis are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic may use submitted data in accordance with their API usage policies. We recommend not including sensitive personal or financial information in brand messages beyond what is necessary for rate estimation.

Creem

Paid subscriptions are processed by Creem, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Selah does not store or have access to your payment card details — all payment data is handled directly by Creem and is subject to their privacy policy and security standards.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our marketing site. Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Deal history and quote records are deleted along with your account.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including Supabase Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own data. No method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. International Data Transfers

Selah is operated from Seoul, South Korea, but our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Anthropic) process data primarily in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and to its processing there in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

9. Children's Privacy

Selah is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us at [email protected].

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice within the Service. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last updated.
